Finally, a new comic!
Sorry for the radio silence, folks. It’s been a loooong, hard week. We took a few days off for Thanksgiving, and then… drama!
Our Kickstarter campaign got “Kicktrolled.” Basically we were tricked into thinking we were 65% funded, when we were not. Long story. Read it here:

The Beat picked it up…

… as did Bleeding Cool:

So, yeah. Getting funded is looking less and less likely. And we’ll have to come up with a Plan B to keep the comics coming. We’re just not entirely sure what that is yet. But Crimson Rhen is off the table at this point, because we simply don’t have the resources to do it. And that kills us, because… seriously… it’s a good, good story, even if you’re not a fan of Shadowbinders.
In happier news: INTERVIEW! We were interviewed by Melody-Ann Kaufmann at GeekEccentric about Shadowbinders and Crimson Rhen. This is seriously the most in-depth interview we’ve ever done, and Melody-Ann has certainly done her homework! You’ll want to read it now!

Been a rough week at Shadowbinders HQ, guys. Sorry for the lateness of the page. If you read the blog post above, we had some drama with the Kickstarter campaign. Probably not going to get funded, and we’re working on a Plan B. We’ll definitely keep you all posted!

“off the table” Well. We still have 8 days. Maybe it can stay on the table? Hoping it can. We still have time. I am so proud of the “Crimson Rhen” story. I don’t want to give up yet.

Okay, maybe “off the table” was a little strong. I *meant* that should this campaign not work out, Rhen doesn’t happen. Because it can’t. At least not now. Maybe not for a long time.
Not that there’s any pressure or anything. 😉
But seriously, people have been very generous over the past few days, trying to make up the deficit. Even if we don’t hit goal, we’ll always be thankful for that!

Sorry to hear about your Kickstarter woes, Thom and Kam. I will look into backing in the next couple of days. 🙂

I just wanted to thank all our readers and supporters. Be it “Shadowbinders” or “Crimson Rhen” or both. It has been a really hard year for us. Between losing loved ones, loss of Thom’s job, the Kicktroll, loss of our vacation and a bunch of other bad things that happened behind the scenes, it has been quite sucky. But we are glad you are here and we appreciate you all. I just wanted to make sure we let you know.

Just remember we’re all here for you, no matter what some terrible people do. I’ll be pulling for you, and I’ve been telling just about everyone I know about this comic in the hopes of bringing more traffic ^^ You guys have done an awesome job on this story.
