Nope. The True North *is* an airship in that it’s a ship that flies through the air, but the nacelles are made from a brass compound, and are not gas filled balloons.
The North actually runs on perpetual magnetic energy — no fuel required. It was retrofitted from a more traditional zeppelin-style airship that has been in Rhen’s family for generations. It’s a real rarity in this world, as most ships you’ll see are of the typical variety.
In addition to the “green” energy source, the North is fast… very fast. It also has artificial gravity and can pull off maneuvers like barrel rolls. (Something was amiss in Chapter 2 — there shouldn’t have been much turbulence, but we’ll touch on that later!)
